It is important to be honest

Bite level 1 - Growls, lunges, air snaps - no teeth touch skin

Bite Level 2. Snap; Teeth touch skin briefly but not full mouth bite, no puncture. May have red mark/minor bruise , may have minor scratches from teeth. Minor surface abrasions

Bite Level 3. Tooth pressure marks from more than one tooth and bruising but skin not broken

Bite Level 4. Punctures ½ the length of a canine tooth, one to four holes, single bite. No tearing. Victim not shaken side to side. Bruising.

Bite Level 5. Multiple holes from a single bite, one or more holes deeper than ½ the length of a canine tooth, typically contact/punctures from more than just canine teeth only. Black bruising, tears and/or slashing wounds. Dog clamped down and shook or slashed victim.

Bite Level 6. Multiple bites in one incident at Level 4 or 5. A concerted, repeated attack.
